ตลาดน้อย ถือเป็นย่านชุมชนชาวจีน ที่เก่าแก่แห่งหนึ่งของประเทศไทย ตั้งแต่สมัยต้นของกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ และเป็นย่านการค้าเก่าแก่ที่ตั้งอยู่ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ขยับขยายมาจากย่านสำเพ็ง

ตลาดน้อยตั้งอยู่บริเวณริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาฝั่งตะวันออก ตั้งแต่ปากคลองตลาดวัดปทุมคงคา จนถึงปากคลองผดุงกรุงเกษม มีถนนเจริญกรุงเป็นเส้นทางสัญจรผ่านกลางย่าน

ตลาดน้อย มีการผสมผสานหลากหลายวัฒนธรรมทั้งไทย จีนญวน และโปรตุเกส รวมทั้งเป็นแหล่งร้านเซียนกงหรือร้านขายอะไหล่รถยนต์มือสองที่ใหญ่ที่สุดแห่งแรกของประเทศไทย

🤩ตลาดน้อยมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่น่าสนใจหลายแห่ง ไม่ว่าจะเป็น วัดปทุมคงคา ชื่อเดิมว่า วัดสามเพ็ง หรือวัดสำเพ็ง วัดสร้างสมัยอยุธยา

🤩ศาลเจ้าโจวซือกง หรือ วัดซุนเล่งยี่ ศาลเจ้าเก่าแก่ของชาวจีนฮกเกี้ยน อายุกว่าสองร้อยปี

🤩ศาลเจ้าโรงเกือก หรือ ศาลเจ้าฮ้อนหว่องกุง ศาลเจ้าอายุร้อยกว่าปี สร้างขึ้นโดยพ่อค้าชาวจีนฮากกาหรือจีนแคะ

🤩บ้านโซวเฮงไถ่ หรือบ้านดวงตะวัน คฤหาสน์จีนโบราณสถาปัตยกรรมแบบฮกเกี้ยน ต่อมาได้ปรับปรุงพื้นที่ลานกลางบ้านให้เป็นโรงเรียนสอนดำน้ำส่วนตัว

🤩นอกจากนี้ตลาดน้อย ยังถูกตกแต่งไปด้วยสตรีตอาร์ต ศิลปะสมัยใหม่ท่ามกลางความเก่าแก่ของย่าน มีไฮไลท์เป็นซากรถเฟียตโบราณสีส้ม และมีร้านคาเฟ่อาร์ตๆ เก๋ๆเพียบ

Travel at Talat Noi

Talat Noi is one of Thailand’s oldest Chinese communities, dating back to the early Rattanakosin era. It is an old commercial district located along the Chao Phraya River, having expanded from the nearby Sampheng area.

Talat Noi is situated on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River, stretching from the mouth of Khlong Talat Wat Pathum Khongkha to the mouth of Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, with Charoen Krung Road running through the middle of the neighborhood.

Talat Noi is a melting pot of cultures, blending Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Portuguese influences. It is also home to Thailand’s first and largest hub for second-hand auto parts shops, known locally as “Sian Gong.”

🤩There are many interesting attractions in Talat Noi, including:

• Wat Pathum Khongkha, formerly known as Wat Sampheng, a temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period.
• Chow Sue Kong Shrine (Wat Sun Leng Yee), a Hokkien Chinese shrine over 200 years old.
• San Chao Rong Kueak (Hon Wong Kung Shrine), a shrine over a century old built by Hakka Chinese merchants.
• So Heng Tai Mansion (Baan Duang Tawan), a historic Hokkien-style Chinese mansion, which has since transformed its courtyard into a private diving school.

In addition, Talat Noi has been decorated with vibrant street art, bringing modern art into the charm of the old neighborhood. Highlights include an orange vintage Fiat car and many cafe’ throughout the area.
